In honor of the first anniversary of the historic Women’s Marches, including the Boston Women’s March for America, we are proud to contribute a weekend of women-led activism and education on behalf of Massachusetts. Please join us, and your allies around the world, for the #WeekendOfWomen!
March Forward Massachusetts, the organization behind the 2017 Boston Women’s March, is coordinating a series of events across Massachusetts to deepen our solidarity, to inject fuel and energy into our work for the year ahead, and to demonstrate that we have evolved into a movement of impact and action. RSVP on Facebook to keep up with emerging details about events taking place near you and to join the conversation.
We are also looking for leaders who want to add action on behalf of their own communities. Do you want to see your city or town participate in the Weekend Of Women? Do you have an idea for an event or action? Individuals and groups are currently organizing film screenings, voter registration drives, panel discussions, and exhibitions. In 2017, the village of Sandy Cove in Nova Scotia (pop. 65) organized a Women’s March with 15 participants. We are as inspired by that as we are by Boston, DC, New York, or Los Angeles. Make a local impact. Sign up to get involved and we will plug you in to resources to help.
